Brazzaville is the political and administrative capital of the Republic of Congo. Located in the south of Congo, on the banks of the Congo River, it faces in Kinshasa, capital of Democratic Republic of Congo. They are also the two closest capitals.
Connected by road and rail in Pointe-Noire and its river port to the DRC and CAR, Brazzaville is strategically setup in the commercial development of the subregion. The inland waterway network stretches over 5000 km and comprises besides the main port of Brazzaville, ten other secondary ports.

Named after the famous explorer Pierre de Brazza SAVORGNAN, that which is affectionately known Brazza The Green now has half a dozen districts.
